Charge4Cities is a decision support tool that empowers local authorities to understand charge point infrastructure utilisation, to forecast future demand and to manage their existing estate of charge points more effectively. It leverages our existing product, the Urban Data Exchange to integrate real time event data from charge points and smart parking sensors and other open data sources and makes it accessible for further analysis and smart decision making.
Charge4Cities enables more cost-effective rollout of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure by minimising deployment costs and maximising their utilisation, while increasing revenue opportunities from EV chargers based on a better matching of supply with demand. It ensures residents’ demand for EV charge points is served appropriately, increasing citizen satisfaction and boosts their confidence for switching to EV to ensure more rapid EV uptake and compliance to meeting net zero targets.
