Richard is the Chief Commercial Officer at Faculty. Richard supports senior leaders across a variety of sectors to transform their businesses to use AI effectively. Before joining Faculty he was Director of Transformation at the Home Office, where he oversaw the creation of the second most advanced in-house machine learning capability in Government. He was one of the founding directors of the UK’s Government Digital Service and before that was at Google. He is a non-exec on the Board of Exeter University, and the Government’s Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. He has a degree in Political Philosophy, Economics and Social Psychology from Cambridge University.
