Kartheek Mahamkali leads PayPal’s Production Command Center (PPCC) — a 24/7 operational nerve center safeguarding one of the world’s largest payments platforms. He oversees the Technical Duty Officer (TDO) function, the final decision-making authority on production across PayPal and all of its brand systems — balancing various risks, release velocity, and platform safety at scale. Kartheek also leads incident response, change management, and SRE operations, and is driving PayPal’s adoption of AI-powered operational tooling — embedding real-time intelligence into high-stakes production decisions.
