Mir Islam is a senior engineering leader and AI practitioner with 20+ years of experience building AI-powered platforms and large-scale distributed systems. As Director of AIOps & Platform SRE at PayPal, he leads a global team driving agentic AI adoption across engineering, building modern cloud native platform.
Previously, Mir was the founding CTO of TrustMe AI, where he built LLM-powered agents, RAG pipelines, and AI governance frameworks. He has also held senior leadership roles at LinkedIn, Pulse Secure, and Citrix, leading cloud, Kubernetes, and enterprise security initiatives at scale.
Mir holds an M.S. from Virginia Tech, an Advanced Security Certificate from Stanford University, and is CISSP and AWS Certified Solutions Architect certified.
