Rodney Brooks is an entrepreneur and academic. He spent 26 years on the faculty at MIT where until 2007 he was the founding director of CSAIL (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory), the largest lab at MIT. His research was in AI, computer vision, Artificial Life, and robotics. He started his first SV company, in AI software, in 1984. He co-founded and was CTO at iRobot, Rethink Robotics, and now Robust.AI. He always works on large-scale deployment of AI-based robots, and blogs on AI & tech at rodneybrooks.com/blog.
