Sean Alexander is the Senior Vice President of Connected Ecosystem at Lumen. A growth – focused infrastructure leader, Sean brings deep expertise in building strategic partnerships and scaling commercial innovation across hyperscalers, data centers, and technology alliances that connect to customers at scale. With a track record of driving transformation through embedded connectivity and modular design, he focuses on unlocking new revenue streams and accelerating partner and customer adoption across Lumen’s ecosystem.
Sean joined Lumen in August 2025. Prior to this role, he held leadership positions in strategy, product, and ecosystem development across multiple technology sectors, including Industry Solutions, Media Platforms, and as a co-founder of Microsoft AI. He is based in Bellevue, WA and actively contributes to industry forums focused on digital infrastructure and AI transformation.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Tulsa and completed executive programs in AI at MIT Sloan and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management as part of Microsoft’s Leadership Program. He also serves on multiple boards and as a Trustee of his alma mater, supporting innovation and leadership development in higher education.
