Sumati Sharan Stewart has over 20 years’ experience driving growth and scaling emerging AI, IoT and Cloud solutions for Fortune 100 companies including Amazon, Intel and HP that have resulted in adoption by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Sumati is passionate about technology, believer in ethical AI and its ability to improve people’s lives all over the world. She is an operator at heart with a strong strategy background, allowing her to both drive innovation and excel at implementation.

Most recently, Sumati is the founder/ CEO of Ladle. Ladle is a cooking platform and a two-sided network. It is teaching Millennials and Gen-Z  how to cook and helping OEMs and other businesses build deeper relationships with their consumers by becoming their cooking partners. The team are headquartered in San Francisco.

Before this, Sumati worked for Yonomi, a PaaS Smart Home startup building a device integration platform as the SVP, Sales & Marketing. She increased the company’s revenue by 2.5x YOY and helped it successfully exit by getting acquired by Allegion, an OEM focused on access control.

Sumati has deep knowledge of both hardware and software to develop and deliver product/platform integrated, customer-centric solutions. Her focus has been on strategy, business development and go-to-market activities with some of the top companies in multiple verticals. She has built­ ecosystems worldwide with B2B customers and via Cloud, OEM, ISV, IHV and GSI partners and public entities, to bring emerging solutions to market and catalyze scale.

Prior to Yonomi, Sumati was Head of Business Development for Alexa Smart Home and responsible for building partnerships with top telecoms, MVPDs and security companies for voice-enabled smart home, entertainment and security solutions. She successfully launched Alexa Guard with ADT (largest professional security company in the US) as the first 3P partner.

She also worked for Intel in both the Internet of Things and Client Computing Groups. In the IoT Group, Sumati drove the adoption of IoT solutions across financial services, security, retail, healthcare and supply chain verticals, delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. While In CCG, the largest division within Intel she build the ecosystem for wireless solutions worldwide with top hospitality, travel and retail companies while championing AirFuel, a standard based on resonance technology.

Sumati also worked for HP’s Snapfish division, leading customer and partner strategy and growth. She has participated at leading industry events and been a speaker at various Smart Home, IoT, mobile payment and wireless conferences worldwide. She has an MBA from University of Southern California and a MFA from University of Memphis.

Sumati is passionate about STEM education and has led fundraising events at Lick Wilmerding High School. She was also on the Board of Presidio Hill School, a progressive elementary school in San Francisco. She is a mentor for a University of Southern California initiative to help minority students entrepreneurs. Sumati is an avid runner and a foodie. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.
