Tarang Vaish is the Co-founder and CTO of Granica, the AI-native data platform that makes
enterprise AI economical, safe, and production-ready at scale. Granica runs in production at
some of the world’s largest SaaS companies, operating over 100 PB of customer data. Tarang
leads the company’s technology vision and engineering organization, partnering with enterprise
data and AI teams to turn AI investments into systems that ship and stay in production.
His career has been built at the intersection of data infrastructure and intelligent systems. As a
founding member at Armorblox (acquired by Cisco in 2023), he helped build one of the first
production AI email security products. Before that, at Cohesity, he helped scale the distributed
data platform now used by thousands of enterprises. Earlier, at AMD and Vivante, he worked on
building GPUs that today’s AI workloads run on — giving him an end-to-end view of the AI
stack, from silicon to model to product.
A daily power user of Claude Code and Cursor, Tarang is building Granica’s next generation of
products on a fully agentic engineering stack — a bet that the companies that survive the AI
graveyard will be the ones whose own engineering, operations, and product teams are already
AI-native.
He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and a B.Tech. in Computer
Science from IIT Guwahati
