Mr. William Chan is the Project Manager for the ATM-X project. Previously, he conducted air traffic management research with emphasis on aircraft trajectory prediction algorithm development and automated weather avoidance flight planning and held multiple supervisory positions at NASA Ames. Prior to joining NASA, he was one of the original US Air Force flight test engineers for the C-17 program and a lecturer for Meteorology at San Jose State University. He earned B.S. degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Physics from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA and an M.S. in Meteorology from San Jose State University with a research focus on aviation turbulence.
