Aijaz has over 29+ years of experience in the IT industry spread across Financial Services and Insurance, UK Public Sector, Telecom, Media and Engineering, and Life Sciences industry verticals spanning multiple geographies across the UK, Europe, US, Canada, Mexico, China, Middle East and Africa.
He joined Virtusa in Nov 2020 and heads Data & Analytics Practice Sales and Solutions for the EME region covering all the clients and industry verticals. He has been instrumental in defining D&A Service Catalogue, Conducting Sales and Delivery leadership sessions for evangelizing and promoting D&A service offerings, building the talent locally and in India, creating business momentum and growth through pipeline injection, order book and pursuing large strategic deals across key clientele.
Previously he was with Infosys Limited for over 25 years and was leading Practice Sales for Data and Analytics for Financial Services vertical across UK and Europe including UK Public Sector for the last 9 years. His main responsibility was growing the business and footprint of data and analytics services.
Aijaz has extensive experience in consultative sales, and strategic advisory in several areas focusing on data-driven business problems and helping define strategies to better manage, govern, democratize, interpret and monetize data for business and operational efficiencies, through solutions using data and advanced analytics, AI/Machine Learning, IoT, Data on CLOUD etc. His roles span from Practice Sales, Portfolio and Account Management to Program management.
Additionally, Aijaz worked in multiple roles in Delivery from software engineer to project management and presales anchor during his long stint at Infosys. He holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from the University of Mysore, India.
