As an EMEA Field Technology Officer for Data Management & AI, Christian covers presales consulting for customer projects, as well as support for strategic discussion and planning. He also interfaces with Dell’s solution and product engineering, product management and marketing for providing bidirectional communication to and from the field organization.
Before joining the EMEA FTO team, Christian held a position as a Technical Director for Databases/Analytics/AI. In his role, Mr. Spindeldreher was responsible for technical and architectural consulting in complex and leading-edge Data Analytics and AI environments. He also led the EMEA Data Management Presales Community. Before focusing on Data Analytics and AI Mr. Spindeldreher also covered cloud and scale-out solutions (e.g. OpenStack, parallel file systems, scale-out storage solutions).
Previously Mr. Spindeldreher worked as an Infrastructure and Storage Ambassador for Sun Microsystems and Oracle. In this
role, Mr. Spindeldreher guided a group of experts focused on storage solutions, was a senior architect for very large IT
projects and acted as an interface between customers, the field departments and corporate engineering. He introduced new
products and solutions to internal and external audience by providing training and marketing events. Before, Mr.
Spindeldreher was a specialist for storage solutions and products, including HDS’s high-end product line, archiving and HPC environments.
Mr. Spindeldreher joined Dell in 2010 and previously he worked for Sun Microsystems and Oracle. Before joining the world of IT, Mr. Spindeldreher worked in the Oil & Gas industry.
After studies of Physics in Paderborn and Geophysics in Bremen (including scientific surveys in Antarctica and the Pacific),
Mr. Spindeldreher earned a Diploma in Geophysics.
Mr. Spindeldreher was born in Germany and speaks 2 languages – German and English.
