Melda is an ML / AI Technical Program Manager at Uber, based in Amsterdam. She leads the ML platform open source program, Uber’s responsible AI program, and platform-wide ML safe deployment. She also actively leads the development of Gen AI products that create 100x productivity gains for teams at Uber.
Previously, she held roles in the Uber Maps team and the EMEA Rides team. Prior to joining Uber, Melda worked as a consultant for organizations such as the World Bank and as a management consultant at Monitor Deloitte. She holds a PhD in Spatial Data Science from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at UCL.
