Chairpersons welcome and opening remarks
Governments around the world are investing heavily in AI infrastructure, research and innovation to strengthen economic growth and national competitiveness. The UK’s AI strategy will play a critical role in determining its position within the global AI economy.
This panel brings together policymakers, industry leaders and technology experts to examine how public policy, digital infrastructure, compute investment, skills development and regulation can accelerate responsible AI innovation while supporting economic growth and international competitiveness.
Discussion topics
• AI infrastructure investment
• Sovereign compute
• Skills and workforce development
• Public-private collaboration
• Building a globally competitive AI ecosystem
Enterprise AI is rapidly evolving beyond co-pilots towards increasingly autonomous systems capable of planning, reasoning and executing complex workflows.
This session explores the technologies enabling autonomous AI, including agent orchestration, continuous learning, governance frameworks and operational safeguards that allow organisations to deploy AI with greater confidence and control.
Anyone can build an AI system that produces plausible-sounding answers. Building one people can actually trust is a different engineering discipline. Drawing on lessons from building answer systems at scale, this talk covers the full trust stack: engineering context and orchestrating heterogeneous tools (search, MCP integrations, internal data sources) so answers are grounded in evidence rather than hallucinated; measuring what matters with metrics like groundedness, faithfulness, and tool correctness instead of vanity benchmarks; and closing the loop with automated evals, LLM-as-judge scoring, and production feedback pipelines that let the system evaluate itself and propose its own improvements. You’ll leave with a practical framework for turning an AI assistant from a confident guesser into a dependable instrument whose answers earn your trust.
As governments and enterprises seek greater control over critical AI infrastructure, sovereign AI has become a strategic priority. Organisations are investing in local compute, trusted cloud infrastructure and domestic AI ecosystems to improve resilience, security and regulatory compliance.
This session explores how sovereign AI strategies are evolving, examining infrastructure, data residency, trusted partnerships and the growing importance of national AI capability within an increasingly competitive global landscape.
AI innovation continues to accelerate, making long-term planning increasingly challenging. Organisations must invest today while remaining flexible enough to adapt to tomorrow’s technological breakthroughs.
This session explores the emerging trends, technologies and business models likely to shape enterprise AI over the coming five years, helping organisations prepare for what’s next while avoiding short-term decision-making.
As AI becomes embedded within critical infrastructure and industrial environments, organisations must demonstrate that autonomous systems remain safe, reliable and accountable throughout their lifecycle.
This session explores AI assurance frameworks, continuous evaluation, observability and governance practices that help organisations deploy trusted AI at scale while maintaining operational resilience and regulatory confidence.
Successfully scaling AI requires more than technology – it demands leadership, organisational change and the confidence to rethink how businesses operate.
This panel brings together senior leaders driving AI transformation across global organisations to discuss the realities of leading enterprise AI programmes, balancing innovation with governance and preparing organisations for an increasingly AI-native future.
Discussion topics
• Leading enterprise-wide AI transformation
• Building trust in autonomous systems
• Organisational change and workforce readiness
• Responsible innovation
• Preparing for the next generation of enterprise AI
